Biography

Somya Mohanty is currently working as an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of North Carolina – Greensboro. Prior to this, he was worked as Assistant Research Professor and lead the Innovative Data Laboratory at Social Science Research Center – Mississippi State University. He received his B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Berhampur University, his M.S. in Computer Science from Florida State University, and his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Mississippi State University.  His research interests include big-data, machine learning, data science, cyber-security, and trustworthy computing, and specializes in large scale databases, data-mining, algorithm design, web application, network security, trustworthy platform development, and computer security. His current teaching interests include Security and Data Science related courses.
